DreamsIISat is a 19" rack server used to control receiving and transmitting chains.

Current drives includes Encoder NDS 3000, Modulator NDS 3000, IRD NDS 3000, Encoder NDS 5710, Modulator NTC 2080, IRD ALTEIA, IRD TT1260, Up Convertor 2042, Combiner UPC 2073, Modulator 2180, Modulator 2280, IRD TT 1282, Encodeur SA 9050. System is opened and new equipments can be added.

The server communicates with all these equipments using SNMP, if available on the equipment, or serial protocol thru a terminal server (iolan) for older equipments.The server can control up to 256 chains.

The client is the operator interface. The server supports up to 15 clients.

Groups of chains can be controlled by different users.

The user can :

• check and modify value of the parameters stored in the equipments
• apply a channel on a chain, which automatically prepare parameters to be downloaded to the equipments
• prepare RAS, BISS-1 or BISS-E keys to be injected
• configure the equipments with these values
• take or park a transmit chain
